Since opening in 1994, The Airborne Trampoline Club in Woodbridge has hosted their annual Winter Break Trampoline Camp. In conjunction with Airborne’s Summer, March Break, and P.A. Day trampoline camps, Airborne’s Winter Break Trampoline Camp continues on the tradition of a fun, active, professionally hosted camp which specializes in the Olympic sport of trampolining.
Lets start off by explaining what Airborne’s Trampoline Camp is all about. Trampoline camp is perfect for anyone looking to keep their kids active and healthy over the holiday season. It combines the fun environment of an entertainment based camp, with the structure and achievements of an educational camp. What does this mean? Basically, Airborne’s campers are here to have fun, first and foremost. At the same time, Airborne’s Gymnastics Ontario, N.C.C.P. certified coaches work with the campers to progress them through Airborne’s trampoline level system. As the campers progress through the skill levels, they earn achievement ribbons & medals which are theirs to take home.
A typical 9am-5pm day of trampoline camp consists of a variety of activities, and is certainly not eight straight hours of trampolining. Every day Airborne campers jump for 2 hours in the morning, and an additional hour in the afternoon. During the trampoline time, Airborne campers play trampoline games, jump in Airborne’s bungee belt system, and work through the trampoline level system described earlier. When not on the trampolines, Airborne campers participate in arts and crafts, games, watch movies, and participate in interactive challenges which keep them entertained throughout the day. Shortly after lunch, Airborne’s campers participate in their activity of the day. These activities are specially planned and scheduled as something special for the campers to experience, and often become the best part of their day. This year these activities include…
Creepy Crawlers: Furry Friends (Monday, December 29th)
